We all want to build something that lasts. David is experiencing something he wants to last forever, but only what is built by God, through Jesus, truly lasts forever.
What are the small kingdoms that you are building in your life? Realise that the frustration you feel in life is because of the futility of these small kingdoms. Recognise that we try to establish our own security and significance somewhere.
Stop trying to establish your own security and significance like David and let God blow your mind with his extraordinarily bigger plan.
We all long for rest. Israel momentarily experiences this rest and rejoicing, but we can only experience lasting satisfaction of this longing through Jesus.
