Big Idea – Life here is good but Jesus’ death gives us something way better – real life forever with God.
Bible Passage – Luke 17: 20 – 37
You Will Need – Pens (or pencils) and paper to draw a simple picture.
All ages activity – Ask your family or growth group to imagine that your house was on fire. Think about what is the one thing you would grab as you run out? Now quickly draw that one thing so you can show everyone. Let everyone show and explain their drawing. Then, ask if there is anything else you might want to go back for.

Discussion – Jesus has said that he is the most import thing for us in our lives. Everything we have could be burned up in a fire but knowing Jesus is more important because he will keep us forever. Jesus has promised to love us forever and he has perfectly saved us by dying for us and rising again. The Bible tells us that nothing can separate us from him.
How is Jesus more important than the thing you drew before?
What do you think is the most important thing to Jesus?
What should then be the most important thing for us?
Prayer: Father, we thank you that Jesus loves us perfectly and gives us all we need forever. Help us to trust him and love him as more important than anything. In Jesus name. Amen
