You will have heard in the news today that the Prime Minister has announced that as of Monday non-essential gatherings of 500+ should be suspended, as a precautionary measure. You may be wondering what this means for Living Church.
At this stage, our gatherings will happen as usual on Sunday with a change to how we do refreshments after the service – this Sunday we will be providing individual packs of morning tea for kids, but won’t be having communal morning tea in the hall.
The leadership team of senior staff and the board have made this decision based on information from PCQ, QLD Health, and today’s announcement from the Prime Minister. The team is keeping an eye on the emerging situation through these channels, and will advise any changes.
If we need to change the situation, we will communicate through Growth Groups, and electronic media like this Facebook group and the newsletter, so please keep in touch.
In order to love our community, please continue to practice good hygiene; if you are sick, stay at home; and lets look out for each other – stay in touch with the people in your Growth Group, so we can all care for each other.
Please join us as we continue to pray for this situation – for wisdom for the leaders of our nation and state, and for those affected by this virus. Please pray that we can be a calm presence in the world, and continue to praise our mighty God, who is in and over all.
