On Sunday October 18 we have a chance to participate in something significant. Every 5 years, alongside the national census, NCLS offers the opportunity to do a survey of the spiritual health of individual churches. We are convinced this will be really helpful for our church as see and celebrate what God is doing amongst us, but it will also give us direction as we try to sharpen what we do to fulfill the vision and mission God has given us. This is an excellent opportunity for everyone’s voice to be heard as we shape the future direction of our church. On top of that it will also be a helpful contribution to what is significant information for churches everywhere across Australia.
The survey is completely anonymous, and completely optional, but we want to encourage everyone to participate. To this end we will set aside time within our church service to complete it together. Most people will be able to complete it online, but there are paper copies for those who would rather that.
The main survey is for everyone aged 16 or older.
We will also be encouraging children (starting at grade 3s) to do the shorter children’s survey, which will also be super helpful for our kids and youth ministries. At kids church children grade 3-6 will fill in the form during kids church. High schoolers up to age 15 will be able to fill it in during whatever service they attend. To enable this parents will need to fill in a quick consent form. You can of course opt out for your children, but again we would encourage it as it is all completely anonymous.
There will be people available to assist you with any questions you have during the service on Sunday October 18.
