Faith for Exiles

“Daniel and his peers, instead of ingratiating themselves into the indoctrinating systems of their captors, waited on God, listened for his voice, and became a conduit to express his power. Throughout the story of Daniel, we read about young exiles who allowed their habits of devotion to God to define them. And those habits made all the difference to their resilience” – Faith for Exiles p53

Spiritual habits, or spiritual disciplines, are an important way we can strengthen our devotion to God. In The Leader’s Journey, quoting from Richard Foster, the authors state “’We must remember that the path does not produce the change; it only puts us in the place where the change can occur.’ But first we must get on the path”i

What “habits of devotion to God” do you practice?

What are some habits you can use to be even more resilient in your faith?

Pray for help in this.
