Throughout Mark so far, we have been reflecting on denying oneself and humbly serving God as broken people.

This habit is unfortunately way easier said than done. So how can we further strive to improve denying ourselves?

One really good way is to pray. Pray to God, strengthen your relationship with him and ask him to help you.

Use this song as prayer. Meditate in the words and pray that your posture of denying yourself and serving humbly may be strengthened. Give God your sorrows and your joys. Pray gratefully for it is not a burden to deny ourselves but a blessing for we know God is in control; and listen. Listen to God and let His will be done.

As I was listening to this song myself the lyrics “Oh, Holy Spirit
Let Your work in me be done” really jumped out at me. It is because of God’s Grace and The Spirit that we can deny ourselves.
