Recently being reminded of the raging amount of compassion that Jesus had for his people, has opened my heart to knowing God more. 

I have come to understand that I can never achieve perfection here on earth. We will never be on God’s level, nor should we ever think we deserve anything close to that. God sent his Son down to us here on this broken earth, so that we could have a relationship with him through faith. 

I don’t know about you but I am deeply humbled knowing that growth in our faith comes from never achieving perfection but whole heartedly aspiring to serve God. Because of God’s love for us shown through Christ we should come to him with thankfulness. God’s compassion is so unimaginably great that we should humbly work for him.

I encourage you to pray a prayer of thankfulness today. Rest and converse with God so that you may flourish in your love and service of him.
