This week we have been reading and learning about Daniel’s faithfulness to God, through prayer. Often when our friends and family are going through a tough time, we’ll say we’re praying for them.  Why not take this one step further and tell them what you’re going to pray for them (for example, “Joe, I’ll be praying for you, that God would give your family strength and courage.”).  Or if it seems appropriate, write out the prayer and send it to them.  I had a friend do this for me once and it meant the world.  I also prayed the same prayer – it gave me the words I couldn’t find for myself at the time.

We also looked this week at the importance of always being prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks.  Have you ever spent time thinking through a one or two line response that you can have ready to go?  Why not carve out some time in your weekend to do that.  Write it in a notebook or on your phone.  Share it with your growth group.  Then look for an opportunity to share it with a non-Christian friend – the opportunities are all around us.

Our God is a good God who is sovereign over all.  Let’s use this weekend to show that to others.
